Dr. James Park is a highly skilled epileptologist who joined the program in 2018 and became co-director in 2023. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate education and received his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. He received his neurology training at the University of Maryland and then completed fellowships in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, which is considered one of the top epilepsy programs in the country. While there, he encountered some of the most complicated cases and honed his skills in the evaluation and planning of epilepsy surgeries. He brings that passion and expertise to the Hoag Epilepsy Program, where he works to provide the most comprehensive and compassionate care for the patients of Orange County.
